Terms & Conditions

    The quoted price includes only those items specified in your itinerary. 
    Standard Hotel Check-In 1400 hours, Check-out time 1200 hours. These hours are subject to change from property to property. Additional charges may apply for early check-ins and late checkouts outside these hours 
    Prices are subject to change as per change in Government / Hotel / Airline policy without prior notice.
    All rates are inclusive of taxes , Any further changes in taxes / levies will be charged extra as applicable
    Please note, the names of hotels mentioned above only indicate that our rates have been based on usage of these hotels. It is not to be construed that accommodation is confirmed at these hotels until and unless we convey the confirmations to you on receipt of your acceptance. However in the event of any of the above mentioned hotels not becoming available at the time of initiating the reservations, we shall book alternate accommodation at a similar or next best available hotel and shall pass on the difference of rates (supplement/reduction whichever is applicable) to you.
    In case of any currency fluctuations or amendments in local Government taxes, entry fees to national parks or cultural sites, or any fuel hike, we reserve the right to adjust the tour price accordingly. The due increase or decrease will be communicated accordingly.
    Approximate drive times given in the itinerary are direct drive times and do not take into account any traffic situations, road repairs or stops along the way which might increase the time it takes to arrive at the destination.

Payment Policy

(i)    Upon receipt of the Pro-forma Invoice, an advance of 30% of the total invoice value if the arrival date is more than 60 days. Balance payment  to be made at least 45 days prior to the arrival date. 
(ii)    Upon receipt of the Pro-forma Invoice, 50% of the total invoice value if the arrival is between 45-60 days. Balance payment  to be made at least 45 days prior to the arrival date. 
(iii)    If the arrival date is less than 45 days, then 100% of the total invoice value is to be paid. 

Additional Remarks: 
(i) Payments are required within seven days, except where circumstances dictate that we request otherwise.
(ii) Suppliers may demand stricter payment terms on some bookings. These occasions will always be advised to you before booking and stated on your Invoice and / or Travel Voucher. Individual cancellation terms will always be stated.
(iii) Our prices include all applicable taxes.*Frequent fluctuations in the Sri Lankan government tax policy mean that applicable taxes can change suddenly without prior notice. 
(iv) A bank surcharge of between 2% -2.5% is applicable for any payments made by credit cards.
(v) Customers must pay all bank charges when making payments via bank transfers. Failure to do so will invalidate your booking and will bring further change to cover bank charges.
(vi) There will be no additional postage fees, booking fees or other hidden charges. Exchange rates are based on live on-day rates at time of booking and are not subject to change.

Cancellation Policy

We are committed to high levels of professionalism to protect your booking. But we reserve the right to cancel your booking in any incidence of Force Majeure. In this event we will return all recoverable costs and, wherever possible, offer an alternative booking of comparable type and quality for your consideration. We cannot be held liable for any incidental expenses that you may incur during arrangements for a booking that is subsequently cancelled by us.

Force Majeure: 


We cannot accept responsibility for Force Majeure – defined in these booking conditions as any specific event which we, as the supplier of the services, could not reasonably have foreseen, influenced or avoided. These include war, or threat of war, riots, global pandemics and epidemics, civil strife, terrorism, contamination, extreme or unusual weather conditions, volcanic eruptions, industrial disputes, changes to sports itineraries, natural and nuclear disasters, fire, flight cancellations or rescheduling by airlines or any similar event beyond our control.

Cancellation by Client: 
In event of cancellation, in whole or part, we voluntarily return all recoverable costs, above and beyond the limits laid down in our Booking Conditions. 
In the case of cancelled tailor-made itineraries, we reserve the right to levy additional admin costs of up to 10% of total booking cost when calculating recoverable costs. 
No refunds are normally provided for early checkouts or no-shows. 
Any individual wishing to cancel a booking must immediately notify the Natural World Explorer representative by email. The cancellation is timed from 09:00hrs on the next working day to enable us to contact Suppliers. In the event of a group cancellation, we will hold each individual equally liable for cancellation costs.

    If the cancellation is 91 days or more, prior to the date of arrival, then 100% of the deposit or payment made can be refunded unless any non-refundable payments have been made, for which notice has been provided in advance in writing within the travel itinerary /tour confirmation voucher / invoice. 
    If the cancellation is between 61- 90 days, prior to the date of arrival, then up to 90% of the deposit or payment made can be refunded. The balance is subject to the cancellation policies imposed by our suppliers.
    If the cancellation is between 45-60 days prior to the date of arrival, then up to 75% of the payment made can be refunded. The balance is subject to the cancellation policies imposed by our suppliers. 
    If the cancellation is between 30-44 days prior to the date of arrival, then up to 60% of the payment made can be refunded. The balance is subject to the cancellation policies imposed by our suppliers. 
    If the cancellation is between 15-29 days prior to the date of arrival, then up to 50% of the payment made can be refunded. The balance is subject to the cancellation policies imposed by our suppliers. 
    If the cancellation is between 0-14 days prior to the date of arrival, then no refund can be guaranteed. The refund provided is subject to the cancellation policies imposed by suppliers and the outgoing payments already made for the tour. 

Additional Remarks: 
We advise our clients to obtain a comprehensive travel insurance policy and to check the policy obtained covers you for refunds.
